STATEMENT
My creative practice confronts the stress of modern life by celebrating resilience and beauty in nature. Through idealism and partial abstractionism, I use embroidery floss to create organic forms with crisp edges, rendered in vibrant, contrasting colors.

Captivated by cacti and desert life, I highlight symbols of survival and adaptability, emphasizing life's ability to thrive in adversity. This approach fosters a visual dialogue of hope and transformation, transcending pervasive negativity.

As a licensed mental health practitioner specializing in art therapy, my career deeply influences my art practice. Before each piece, I meticulously plan with reference photos and digital drawings. The tactile process of adhering embroidery floss to paper is rhythmic and meditative, contributing to the grounded quality of the practice. My work aims to instill calmness and peace, inviting viewers to explore a perspective where optimism and resilience prevail.
